Surgical correction of protruding or detached external ear.
Call and ask for details
Surgical correction of protruding or detached outer ear requires attention to detail, specific measurements, careful evaluation of the aesthetic deficit and its cause. Aesthetic correction of the external ear is a surgical operation that changes the position and shape of the ears. It is a safe and effective operation, it can greatly improve the self-image especially of those who suffered psychological trauma in childhood due to their ears. It can also be called "psychic surgery", patients being psychologically cured postoperatively. The ideal age for children is from 6-7 years before starting school to avoid possible emotional or psychological trauma.
Children are very prone to suffer easily, and this aesthetic deficiency of the ears can be a trauma until adulthood. The operation in adults can be performed under local anesthesia or general anesthesia, but in children general anesthesia is mandatory, and the parent and child remain overnight in the hospital. Post-operative pains are very well accepted by patients, even children, they last the first 2-3 days, the sutures are removed every 2 weeks, and afterwards a special corset is worn ears for 3 months.
